A friend of mine is looking for a dog and has found a Maltese for sale for £150 and asked my advice I thought the price was quite cheap but I don't know much about the breed.  Can anybody tell me what to look for in a healthy happy Maltese and are these good dogs for first time dog owners? all Advice welcome thanks

Agree that it's probably a scam, as they are much more expensive than that.  But for a first time dog owner?  I think they would be better off visiting a small show kennel to find out just how much grooming work was needed.  I think a lot of newbies would have difficulty.

Aggre with Michelled, 150pound is not a right price for a purebreed, health maltese pup.
Maltese is very sweet little dog, they are a little bit less activity than other toy breeds, should be good for first time dog owner.
