Urrrrmmmm No as I have learnt a lot and the little black angel (not) (came in tonight with a full grown blackbird and decided to de-feather it plus blood from the guts everywhere :eek)?

It is nature rather than nuture with kittens

Oh Alice,

I've been very interested in Estrela's for a while.....lucky you ;)

Meantime, back in the real world I accommodate 2 gorgeous Briards :) As for other breeds.....I've tried to think.....umm...still thinking...No, can't think of another breed that would suit me, mainly because they are everything that a dog can be, including their absolutely wicked sense of humour...

I couldnt imagine life without my ginger boys (irish setters) but if I was rich and could afford loads of dogs I would have the following from the different groups :

Gundog : love my setter boys but also quite like GWP's (less work after a muddy walk too!!)
Hound : Afghan (grew up with them, always have to stop and look when I see them at a show!) Irish Wolfhounds and Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen ... oh and I quite like ridgebacks too !!
Terrier : Parsons Jack Russel (I will have one of these one day, love to do agility with one!)
Utility : Dalmation
Working : siberian husky (top of my list when I left home until some kindly breeders at crufts put me off !!)
Pastoral : Kelpie (I know they arent recognised by our KC but would love one for agility)
Toy : nothing here really takes my fancy, maybe when im old and grey but even then I would prefer a small terrier.  Suppose I quite like the Griffon and the Affenpinshers.

I would love a great dane, ive always dreamed of having one since i was knee high
my dogs at present are 2 west highland terriers and a cavalier king charles, in the past ive owned 3 rotties, 1 jack russell, 2 lab's (as a child) and a staffie, all beautiful dogs.
For my 40th this year hubby said i could have a great dane but i opted for another wesite as i rellly dont think there's room enough for a great dane, 3 dogs, 4 kid,s 2 cats etc, lol

I would love a couple of foxhounds but I think they are quite difficult to own. I hunted when I was younger and my daughter hunts twice a week now. The hunt kennels are always trying to persuade me to 'walk' a couple of puppies in the summer but A: They'd have to wrestle them off me at the end of the summer and
B: A friend in the village had two last summer and they woke the whole village up every morning as soon as it got light with their baying.

Fillis I just love the Wheaten Terriers, they are such characters! One used to walk down our road and he was always up to mischief, he was so funny. I have to admit I like the shaggy hairy dogs too, anything fluffy appeals to me! I love Tibetan Terriers too, I forgot about them.

Yes - sure to have at least one laugh a day with a wheaten, and they love you to laugh at them ;-)
