Hi does anyone know anywhere in the Gower Peninsular we can take our well behaved doggy family for a holiday? We would love to get some walks along the beaches and the dogs love the sea.
I don't think anyone will have us all. We would go somewhere else if anyone can share their special place! We live in the west country.
Many thanks.
A lady i know lives up in the lake district and she has some holiday cottages. She breeds goldies so dogs are very welcome. Not sure if it would be too far from you so let me know if you want more details and ill get the website for you.

Brilliant we have goldies too. Thanks very much.
That is good to know peaches1 , must admit a lot of places that will take pets will charge extra for each animal after the first, but if you say you have 4+ dogs they very often say the most they will take is 3.
My family and I who all have dogs have often wanted to go away together in this country, but just myself and mum is 8 dogs, it does not matter if you say they are all immaculately behaved and very obediant the mere thought leaves most people with holiday cottages/farm houses, running off screaming. :-D I guess to be honest the though of it would spook me too. :-)
We have just come to accept in this country we can not all holiday together unless we kennel our dogs or leave them with other family members, apart from when we visit one of my brothers in Devon who has enough room to happily accomodate dogs and family.
The lakes does seem to be the most accomodating place for dogs. :-)
I know exactly what you mean. Ive got 5 too and the most we can ever take together is 3 and i end up having to leave 2 with my mom and rotate it next time we go so they all get a holiday. We have just had a nightmare booking a cottage for the munster cicuit over in Ireland. We found a fantastic one which said pets welcome, but when my friend contacted them, they said they wouldn't have dogs anymore because dog people had left it in such a state last year. They did reconsider and let us book in the end but it just goes to show that just one bad visitor can ruin it for the rest of us!! Not surprising really when i go to dog shows and find huge amounts of poo not cleaned up..............if anyone should know better its us who show!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I wonder if we will have to get a little touring carrie so we can stick the dogs in the awning....or may be the OH ..........lol.

Hate to put a damper on that idea but even touring sites now sometimes limit number of dogs.
Sorry :-(

Stay at home and go on days out is my recommendation!

If you have a touring caravan, the site we use in the borders doesn't have a limit on dogs. They just have to be well behaved, not bark constantly etc. Its in Greenlaw, half way between Kelso and Coldstream. I'm in the static opposite with the grouchy border :)

I regularly take my 5 onto Caravan Club sites and many other show exhibitors use them too - we often see folk with 5 or more. Added bonus is there is no extra charge for dogs.

We stayed there (helsbury park that is) for a long weekend a couple of years ago with SEVEN dogs! We had the farmhouse which has flagstone floors, but unfortunately the people who own the group of houses have now moved south and moved in themselves along with their weim! So inconsiderate!
