Change a file size????

When I try to add an avator it says that the file size is too big? Please could anyone give me any ideas on how to reduce it so I can add a picture of one of the delightful monsters?!!!:-D

right click the file, and click edit
in the paint window that pops up, click "image", and then "Stretch/Skew..."
put 50 in the Stretch Horizontal, and Stretch Vertical boxes
go to File - Save as, and enter a new name for the file so you don't overwrite the source file.

If the file is still too big, just repeat until it is accepted as an avatar.

HTH  (not my advice but that of my compute scientist son who is here for his tea)

If you download Microsofts image resizer you will be able to resize any image easily.  Once you have downloaded it just right click on your picture and a drop down menu will appear with the choice of resizing the picture - click on this and a box will appear on the left hand side of your screen asking what size you want it resizing to.  I usually use small or medium. :-)
