well.....had big excitement last night to hear that I had won British professional Photographers Association Top Sports photographer (UK) 2007 :)
but can you believe the miserable gits wont let me have my prize because I couldnt get to the big awards dinner and ceremony in London!!! :( :(
I am so disapointed. :(

Congratulations Sam, that's terrific, but so mean of them not to let you have your prize.  That really sucks. :(

unfortunately the awards were last weekend, big posh do in London but I was working a 1000 miles away in a czech forest on the night!!! Maybe if they had told me in advance I could have changed my work plans around, but no....they kept quiet til after the night, and now Im really hacked off :(
As for the prize....no idea but believe it was something major from Canon....as I am entirely a Nikon system then maybe it wouldnt have been of use....but theres always ebay!!! :)

As for the twits who denied you your prize I can't say what I think about them without breaking the TOS of the board! That is so low. :(

Extremely mean on the ceremony organisers, you had a very valid reason not to be there, I don't understand their mind set, what if someone were in hospital or extremely ill also, the prize should be yours.
