Sorry to put this on champdogs site, but last night I was at the gundog club barbeque, so it is a bit dog related. We had candles and I have managed to drip candle wax all down my new black trousers. Any ideas how to remove it please.
Thanks Lorna ps No I hadn't had a lot to drink either!!!

Take a pair of scissors and carefully trim around the wax.

Sorry Lorna, I'll lock him away! :(

Don't think I'll try this, the holes would be in a very embarrassing (and draughty) area!!

If you havent already cut round the wax, place some brown paper either side of the material, and iron with a very hot iron..the wax should melt into the paper.

good luck

Thanks Debs, I'm now rummaging for brown paper. My husbands getting excited at the thought of me getting the iron out. Means he might actually get a shirt ironed.

Or put it in the freezer and see if it comes off in one piece!

Or have enough to drink until your eyes go fuzzy and you cannot see it :-)

Hi Lorna

Did you ever get the wax off - and if so how?

Christine
PS Fancy another walk sometime?

I have found that newspaper on both sides of the wax and a hot iron works. I have not yet found out how to remove the color of the wax from light cloth yet. if anyone has that info please?
