Do you ever feel like it's going to be one of those years?

Lana didn't have pups, neither did Anton become a father.  Went to buy a camera today, buy now pay 2009.  Hadn't taken any paperwork with me as I wasn't going out for that just for the SWD feature in Our Dogs, so came all the way back home and got all necessary documents!

Got back gave them to the person and he said that my credit had been refused!   I've never ever had bad credit.  Always paid things on time etc.  He said that it didn't say why and if I wanted to find out I would need to get in touch with Barclays who then would charge me for telling me!

I went to my bank and the cashier had no idea why and said she would get someone to phone me.  No phone call yet so it looks as though I'm going to have to wait until next week!!

I'm sooooooooooooooooo  annoyed!

I don't have credit cards etc.

> I don't have credit cards etc

to be honest that could be part of it - not having any credit sometimes can be a negative to get credit - don't ask me why but its just sometimes how it works so don't feel too bad honey!

Haven't had time to have a good look but the SWD bit looks great!  Recognise a few cheeky SWD's!

That can sometimes be the problem. If you don't have a credit history then they don't know if you are any good at paying back. Many years ago I used to work part-time in an Estate Agency. There was a lovely young man buying a property. Had a good job, easily could cover the mortgage and was refused because he didn't have any credit cards, had never taken on a loan becuase he always saved up to buy whatever he wanted and therefore had no credit history. Honestly, smacks of the world gone mad doesn't it.

Well that's what I usually do!  The only thing I can think of is that I purchased in December a suite that's on credit and is to be paid for in November, but other than that I've not done this before as if I aint got the cash I don't buy it!

SOMETIMES THIS COUNTRY AND IT'S RULES PS ME OFF SOOOOO MUCH.

Yes I agree with Rachel as it often works agaisnt you if you have not had credit before.

For a score to be calculated on your credit report, the report must contain at least one account that has been active for six months or longer. In addition, the report must contain at least one account that has been updated in the past six months. This ensures that there is enough recent information, in your report to compute an accurate score

To get over this apply for a credit card but just don't use it :-)

Will have to get the mag tomorrow to have a nosey !

Well they don't live that far away from me - been known to have a cuddle or two as well :)

I agree it makes no sense re: credit - you would think someone who has none should be perfect but as said sadly it doesn't seem to work like that does it!  Madness indeed!

Hi

It can be something as silly as not paying a monthly credit card bill. We had this and it turned out that month we hadnt paid the bill because the balance to be paid was Zero.

also you might be tarred with someone elses credit because of it... i didn't have a credit card etc and there was someone who used to live in my block with the same surname, i got refused for everything till i got a credit card (now maxed out btw, if you get one, use once, pay off, cut up!)
