Topic Other Boards / Foo / Problems with posts?
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 14:46 UTC
Problem is, when I've been following a post/topic and I've then left the board, on the next visit (active topics) when a new post has been posted I could click on it and go to the first 'unread' post. Now, however, each and every time I am taken to the top of the first page and am having to scroll down to the bottom to find the reply?

Is it just me or is everyone else having the same problem?
- By Lori Date 17.01.08 14:47 UTC
It's the same for me Missie.
- By rachelsetters Date 17.01.08 14:47 UTC
Hi Dee - same here!  Thought it was just me!
- By Lori Date 17.01.08 14:49 UTC
I confess I thought it was my memory that had gone. (picture the big green grin here)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 17.01.08 14:51 UTC
Yes noticed the same problem and it is annoying.

Its making me a bit cross, too - especially when the thread gets quite long. And where are the smileys???
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 15:01 UTC
ooh I'm glad it isn't just me.
Its annoying isn't it!! as the posts get longer its gets more annoying !!
- By zarah Date 17.01.08 15:03 UTC
Me as well.

You have to do the smileys yourself Fillis!
- By Fillis Date 17.01.08 15:06 UTC
oh, back to the old days...:)
- By zarah Date 17.01.08 15:07 UTC
:-D

(must say I much prefer the big green grin!)
- By Fillis Date 17.01.08 15:13 UTC
Yes, these are a bit small to see clearly (or its my advancing years) :-D
- By zarah Date 17.01.08 15:41 UTC
No comment on the advancing years :-D

I do think they are a bit on the small side though.
- By ceejay Date 17.01.08 15:55 UTC
except for the thread on HG's game when I need to go back to the top everytime I start anew!  The I get the second page and get trouble going back to the first.  It's OK now I have saved it to favourites although it is fast becoming the opposite - stuck again!!
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 16:03 UTC
I've only got one page on that ceejay, I think you can set yr page length in options?
- By sandrah Date 17.01.08 16:35 UTC
I am finding the fact that you don't go directly to the new posts very annoying, I would have thought it would be easier to do now as all new posts go at the end of the page.
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 16:44 UTC
Just noticed what the notifications mean
If someones replied to your last post, you can just click on that new notification BUT that doesn't help when you are reading posts that you haven't participated in or have done so earlier.

*rolls eyes upwards* now the smiley's gone *wink*
- By Teri Date 17.01.08 16:54 UTC
to Missie

>*rolls eyes upwards* now the smiley's gone *wink*

LOL - you and me both chick ;)  Quite frustrating and lots of posters just press "reply" to the last post on a thread so if it should really be for eg a reply to me then I wont get the notification ...... confusing :(
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 18:03 UTC
Dear Teri

Yep I had to read that a few times LOL but I understand totally what you mean and if the reply isn't actually to you then you will be notified - even more annoying than I thought
*frown*
- By rachelsetters Date 17.01.08 18:47 UTC
*frown* "wink wink" <vbg>!  you get me Missie :)
- By ShaynLola Date 17.01.08 19:24 UTC
Yep, it's annoying me too.  And I'm sure I'm not the only one mourning the loss of the  smiley *rolls eyes*

Oh and the big green grin was much more experssive than this wee blur :-D

Liking some of the new features but, on balance, would probably prefer the old board back!
- By ceejay Date 17.01.08 19:30 UTC
Well you learn something new every day (re: posts per page on options) Thanks Dee!
- By Missie Date 17.01.08 23:18 UTC
That's ok ceejay *wink*

yes I know what you mean rach  *wink*  *ha ha*
- By Missie Date 18.01.08 00:07 UTC
