Can anyone tell me in simple terms how I go about transferriing my documents from desktop to laptop via wireless connection.
I just want to be able to use either computer. I guess I can save all the stuff on disk and transfer it but surely there is a way of just sharing the folders .
Thanks
Sue

Glad i'm not the only one with laptop problems. Treated myself to a laptop with my xmas money but cant seem to get it connected to the wireless router which is plugged in with the pc. The router appears to be correct but the laptop cant pick up the signal. Such a nightmare-i want to play :-)

Have you made sure the wireless is switched on on your laptop Freds mum - there is a little switch on the side of the lap top - sorry if you have just thought I would make sure. Also have you run the wireless network wizard and scanned for wireless networks?
I have switched it on (only becuase my friend told me). I'm a bit of a techno phobe so not great with comuters at the best of times! I'm not sure if i've run the wizard (?) but i have scanned for wireless networks. I keep picking up other peoples but not my own!!! Thanks for the help though.

Click Start - Control panel - Network and internet connections and then set up a wireless network for home or office and then run the wizard.
Brilliant thanks Anna. Sounds easy so will give it a go, hopefully tomorrow. x
