Can anyone elaborate on what it is?

Herbal drugs for cats ;)

It's a herb made from a plant. Some cats are receptive to it and act like on drugs (really happy, really friendly), some are not affected by it at all. Some dogs love it too!

It is part of the mint family and good in borders for repelling insects. Unfortunately, some cats rather like it and if you are unlucky, you will find your plant squashed, where the cats have rolled on it.

Oh mine love the stuff! They do act more like cats than dogs anyway so that probably explains it really.

My two love it but be careful as I have seen warnings that kittens under 6 months shouldn't be given it.

I have a bottle of it which I spray on the kittens scratch post to encourage them to use it rather than the rest of the furniture ;)

Ahh thanks for that. My OH said it was some sort of 'cat drug'. I didnt believe him so hence I asked you guys. He said he'd seen it on Shrek??!?

I like the idea of spraying it on things. She's not quite 6 months yet though! :)

My old boy loved it and would go really silly.  My girls aren't interested at all.  The youngster had some catnip bubbles for christmas, I think I had more fun with them than she did!
