Hi
I have a bitch who had a litter now 10 weeks old, her milk is now dried up but she has mammary lumps in the glands on one side, the other side is ok, she is 2 1/2 yrs old I am sure I have had this before but as my last litter was 4 1/2 yrs ago I am finding it hard to remember how long they took to go away (they did that time). Has any one else any experience of this.

I would take her to the vets for a full check up to put your mind at rest. None of my bitches have ever had this after their milk has dried up so I cannot answer that question for you but I would get her checked.

My Rosie had this after her last litter, we had a biopsy done and the vet told us although they weren't cancer, they would have eventually turned cancerous, this was her last litter any way, so we had her spayed and the lumps removed at the same time.

That was 3 years ago, and so far so good, they haven't returned.
