Okay anyone know what smaller type cars 3 or 5 door have rear seats that fold flat (like an estate) not lokoing for anything big as mostly just me in the car but want something to put the dogs of the back of (seats down) Thanks

But does the back seat lift up so the boot and back seat space becomes flat down? I imagine the back seat you sit on has to raise up so the back back rests falls flat into that space.

My son's got a VW Golf that I think does that - but he's away till Sunday so I can't go and check ...

Just had a look on the Honda website, and they have what they describe as "magic seats" at the back which do indeed fold flat. I've had 3 Honda's (2 HRVs and my current CRV), they are great cars, would recommend them to anyone.

They fold completely flat and also do a really clever cinema seat type action. Really useful for dogs.

I've got a jazz too and they are like tardis's.  A mini estate and totally idiot proof.  It also won best small car for years.  The only downside to them is if you look at the people that drive them they are generally pensioners - not good for the street cred driving an oldies car though.

The Peugeot 206 used to.....not sure about the 207.  That was a fab car.......on the 3 door version, the back windows push out, which the dogs loved and the air con was VERY strong and reached right to the back which was great in summer.

I now have the VW Polo 3 door........the back folds down, but not QUITE flat.  However, by putting an extra mat in it is do-able.  Back windows don't open and the air-con is like a wet flea's f*rt!! :-(

Am watching this thread with interest as will be replacing my Polo at end of year.

I have a Mini the back seat folds down either into one or two sections, and there is lots of room for my 2 golden boys!
