2007 has been a great year for me on the above topics, I've read some amazing books, seen some great films & had life changing experiences at gigs (nice to say something good as come from 2007 for a change)....so Champdoggers what's been your Favourite Book/Film/Song/TV Programme of 2007 & more importantly ....why? This is also a sneaky way of me getting some book recommendations!!!

To get you started mine are:
Book - hard one but think Kite Runner or Shadow in the Wind - both superb!
Film - Stardust (cheesy as ever but a great love story!)
Song - Reverend & the Makers, Heavyweight Champion of the Year - classic line "if you're not living on the edge you're taking too much room"
TV - Heroes, looking forward to season 2

How about the rest of you?

That's good to hear as I bought my mum that book for Xmas, I'll borrow it when she's done!  I too saw the Kaiser Chiefs twice last year, thought they were very good, Ricky Wilson is a bit crazy!

Book - The Tenderness of Wolves - by Stef Penney   ~ Just finished reading this, and it's still with me - if you know what I mean.  Bit sorry I read it so fast, but couldn't stop myself :) :)

Music - anything by CAT STEVENS (not after he changed his name ;) )  and loads of great 70's music about too :D :D  OH and the one by Goldfrapp :D   (or was that 2006??)   surprised my music fiend daughter knowing that one and who it was - I haven't lost it yet :D :D

TV - Cranford  ~ A delight from start to finish :D :D

hmm...my fav book continues to be Pratchett and Gaimans "Good Omens", fav films this year were probably Stardust for the sheer giggle- Boddy Denero as a cross dressing, dancing sky pirate. something i never thought i'd see. also 300, Gerard Butlar who i love and adore doing the battle of thermopylae with mad effects. Gerards a great actor (i urge each and everyone of you to rent "Dear Frankie", its a beautiful film) and i'm a huge classical studies geek, i used to translate passages about this battle in my Ancient greek class at school, it was an increadible thing they did. also the direction etc is great.

T.V, heroes and rome.
