I would be pleased to hear member's thoughts on my intention to buy another dog to join our family of mum, dad, 12 yr son and 13 yr daughter and 3 yr black lab bitch (spayed). We are thinking of buying a pup or v.young border terrier bitch. We live in London but have a large garden and dogs would get plenty of exercise. We also visit the countryside v.regularly for walks and camping. Should a border terrier get on well with our lab and would two bitches get on ok? I wouldn't worry about getting two bitches, especially if you plan on different breeds and ages :) It seems that the ones who have the most likelihood of developing problems are either the same breed (some get along, others don't :rolleyes: ) or the same age :)

There's lots of advice on this board on how to introduce and first live with two different dogs --- just do a search :)
