You poor wee thing!
I have had a fantastic family one, My sisters, 3 children ,1 niece, 1 OH, 1 BIL, made for a fun day then...the visit of another BIL and SIL...then taking my first born baby (now 25!)
to A&E!
He wasn't too well, high temp strange cough achy and stuff, but then he was doing a bit too much gasping and getting breathless not wheey, but short of breath!
Any how a 'significant chest infection' was diagnosed and he was allowed to come home on condition he stayed at home with me to watch over him.
Antibiotics started and 24hrs later a visible difference thank God for ABs.
We all have tales to tell, I hope yours will be better next year!
Karen ;-)

Rubbish Christmas here really.  Haven't seen a single human!  Still, I made an effort and dressed up as if I was going out.  Dogs probably never even noticed the mascara, but thank god I've got them for company.

You poor thing :-(

Ours was ok.  Very quiet.

Mum lost her Mum before Christmas and her Dad just before last Christmas so she rang me up in tears.  Then phoned again a while later to say their dinner was almost ready, table was set and my ignorant brother and his girlfriend who'd been invited for dinner, had decided to go to the pub for a couple of hours.   Still, it all worked out in the end and they had an ok day too.

>and my ignorant brother and his girlfriend who'd been invited for dinner, had decided to go to the pub for a couple of hours.

OMG that is horrible, your poor mum :(

Ours was ok,we went to my mums which is always swish with loads of yummy food, and this year only a couple of smart arse comments from brother and witchy poo sister in law about the dogs, but i dont care,my dogs are part of my family and leaving them at home would be like leaving my kids behind because some of the guests didnt like children, just aint gonna happen! We all ate too much and my mum had a go at making a chocolate mousse in which she put about 5 bars of toblerone,so your spoon stood straight up in it and felt sick after 2 mouthfulls, bless her :P

Astarte my OH is away aswell,he left the friday before christmas and wont be back till after New years, however i'm dreading his return as it's been so nice and relaxed without him here.I dont have to cook if i dont want to,can watch what i want on tv,can have a shower at 5 in the afternoon if it so suits.I mean,i can do all of those things when he's here but the pressure is just off...Just me and the kids to worry about, utter heaven!! :D

Mine was okay apart from me tucking in to xmas pudding and my nan going "Arent you meant to be on a diet"  Nan's eh!

We had a great one :)

Nice and relaxed with plenty of wicked prezzies and good food, and of course Eastenders! ;)

We did suffer a family death over christmas but kept our spirits up and Mitz also still has her limp but some Turkey soon stopped her from wanting to move anyway, she was a full lil girl! :D :D

Tell me about it Kate.  I was fuming.
I was going to phone him, but Mum made me promise not to (I'd have gone mad)...she didn't want to spoil his Christmas, and she made Dad promise not to say anything either.  Think she just wanted to get it off her chest when she phoned me, which is fine.
I'll have words with him when the time is right though.  He's selfish at the best of times, I don't know where he's got it from, we certainly weren't brought up that way.

Same for me Keronella, didn't see a single soul aside from the dogs.  Got bored and cleaned the fish tank filter and broke it...

Ate enough roast chicken dinner for about 3 people too, but I didn't feel quite right all day.  Still don't really, but I think I've got off lightly compared to all the ill people at work!

At least I didn't have to work, did that last year.  And next year I should have at least one other human here!

Hope you feel better soon.
I had a lovely time four hours of monopoly with the kids ate far too much drank too much then sat on floor and played silly whatnots with my four pupies and mum of course and got somewhat chewed to bits it was GREAT!!!!!

Hope you feel better soon, Kim.

My Christmas was very quiet. I had put my back out a couple of weeks ago and it is still trying to go into spasms now, so the dogs didn't get much walking. My cousin has spent the last 2 weeks in Ninewells after falling into, and breaking, her glass coffee table :( I'm off to see her tomorrow to tell her to use steps next time she's putting up decorations....... maybe not. at least she's still alive. She wouldn't be if her mum wasn't visiting at the time.....

Hope you feel better soon Kim

We started being ill around 9pm Christmas Eve, still chucking up Christmas day (Little-Un had a boiled egg and toast for his Christmas dinner as he was ok, thank goodness), slightly better Boxing day (big D tho), had a boiled egg and home-made GF bread this morning, and had our Christmas dinner at 6.30 today and pulled the crackers, silly hats the lot :)  Still feeling exhausted/fragile and haven't seen anyone yet.

This is the 4th year we've been ill, last year it was flu :( :(
I'm going to a remote island in Scotland next year, going in November and not coming back till March, only me and the dogs - that should be safe :)
- By Dill [gb] Date 27.12.07 22:52 UTC
Just discovered, Little-Un now has a taste for Smoked Salmon!   Discovered it Christmas Day when I was too out of it to make him tea LOL  He had it on warm toast with blackpepper :D :D

Didn't notice until I looked for it in the fridge and it's almost all gone!  GRRRR!

thanks everyone, feeling a fair bit better now. i'm sorry a lot of you had not fun christmasses either, hopefully we'll all have nice new years! and i'm glad a few of you had really good ones. spiritualist your right about the grand kids, they make it much more fun (grand kid for my parents, in my case a nephew). thankfully for me i have a big sis to produce the babies (one currently in production!) and there is no presure on me yet :D
