Hello this is my first visit to this web page and am very impressed with what i've seen
my bitch is 5 weeks gone and i'm really excited and anxious about what is going to happen. My wife and myself have been told all these different things to expect. From what i've read on the message boards so far i now feel more relaxed and happier i'm in the right place for advice and help. Hope to talk again soon :cool::cool:

Welcome Mark,

What an exciting time to join. :-)

I'm sure you will be popping in quite regular with your happy event on the way. Along with your vets advise yes, you have many years of experience from many, many members here, so pick our brains as much as you like. :-)

Thank you for your replys.

I'm very sure i'll be back asking all kinds of questions :confused:.

It's hard trying to take in all the info at once so it'll be a case of one step at a time.
Until my brain is compleatly done in.

Just had my first litter so I know how you feel! Have you got the Book of the Bitch? It's very useful, though of course my girl hadn't read it and ignored the bit about how much warning to give me before starting to pop puppies out!! All went smoothly though. :-)

congratulations :cool::cool: on the first litter. Ihope all is well with the pups and mum.

Yes i've got a book on her breed and have read it some many times i could resite it off no problems but like you said things don't go to plan and she can't read ha ha

I did have hopes she was reading the book because all her seasons have been dead on the 21 days, but clearly she didn't read far enough........ :-D

-Book of the Bitch-is actually a name of a very good book.
You probably already knew this but I just wanted to make sure you realize this is what people are referring to, not a book on the breed of your bitch...

This book would be really usefull read while you are preparing to give birth with your bitch :) goes through the process...
