i dont know if its just my two but when ever i take them to the park they will totally ignore other dogs that come to say hello.
before i got bailey i walked kacey everyday on her own she will sometimes run up to another dog then run off again but when the dogs try and play with her she doesnt want to know
now when kacey and bailey are together their time is spent bickering over who has the biggest stick lol  and alot of owners say how very well behaved they are but i just wish they would play a little with another dog lol

I have two dogs and neither of them play with others - one is a Cav and he just says hello and then goes about his own business ignoring them.  The other is a Puli and he will run around for a few minutes but then decides thats enough for him.  Every now and again another dog will come along that the Puli really takes to and they run around for longer - but the Cav - no - eating the grass is far more interesting...

My five tend to just play with each other. If another dog approaches they say hello and then get on with playing with each other again.

My three often don't play they are far to interested in sniffing bunnies etc.. they are very socialble and will chat to all other dogs but never rush up they just say hi if another dog comes to them.
Thank your lucky stars you don't have a couple of nutters that find they have to rush up and (sometimes) be a nusance to others. I know some posters on here would love to be so lucky!

*puts hand up* I would!  :D  My lot always try to run up to other dogs to say hello, the two younger girls especially.  River has a pretty good recall but Opi is an absolute swine, though she is getting better as is Remyt, but it would be lovely, just once, to be able to walk past other dogs without me having to gather the pack or, if they're alright to say hello, spend 5 minutes trying to move them on to continue the walk!

My Malamute used to love saying hello to other dogs until she was attacked by an off-lead dog in the field...now I have to hold her back if we meet another dog as she's not very friendly! My little Cavalier is fab on her own and will ignore other dogs or be friendly if one comes up to her, but if I walk the two of them together she seems to know that she has "backup" behind her, and she starts yapping and making a horrible fuss! Shame really as I love stopping to have a chin wag with other dog walkers. We met a lovely Staffie the other day who was more interested in playing with her toy than saying hello to my two unsociable girls!!!

Our girl SBT is soooo dog friendly she wants to say hello to everyone and everything!!

She is well trained so I can call her back if needed (IE she runs off to see a dog in the distance) but she love nothing more then saying hello to old friends or in a controlled situation new ones! :D :D
Playing with dogs as well, but she is protective of her ball and is a bugger to make drop it if there is any other dogs around, think she is paranoid they are gonna steal it! :D :D

Actually holding onto the ball will mean she won't be tempted to tell the other dog off.  A friend uses a ball with one of her grumpy dogs who would be inclined for no particular reason to lash out at the dogs of people she was chatting to just for being near her Mum, but with the ball in her gob it means she has a chance to exchange greetings without having to put her on lead and making her worse.

I do let her keep it sometimes but she then teases the other dogs with it!

She will have it tight in her mouth but invite them to try and get it out of her mouth...She is strange!
Think I will let her keep it from now on, but she is so clumsy she drops it sometimes and then the other dog gets it and I cant get it back as obviously the owner of the other dog hasnt taught theyre dog 'Drop it' without running after them for 5 mins, I feel embarrassed for them sometimes! :D
