Well just what many of us have been saying for years re. health etc! As the Labradoodle was started in Australia not surprising to read this article really
I'm sure that one has done, I'll have a look in a moment, but when I found this I'm sure the Sunday Times or something had done a similar article for this country. Will go and check :d
yuk, poor little mites... But I wonder if the problem may also stem from the fact that New South Wales may be considering (finally!) a ban on mammals in pet shops. Over supply in Aus is a huge problem, and the crossbreeding goes way beyond labra-doodles, etc.
Is that why people from over here are finding it hard to find properties to rent when they have a dog? I know two people who are moving to Aus. and they are really going through the mill as they just can't get anywhere where they can take their dog to.
So sad as one dog I bred and she's been in four homes already, she looked as though she had a forever home and now it looks as though it won't be! They'd got the quarantine kennel and everything set up but they just can't find anywhere.
Well it isn't exactly easy to rent with dogs in the UK either. Also there are strict limits on the number of dogs allowed to be owned. A breeder who I exported a pup to in South Australia near Adelaide are only allowed to own 4 dogs over the age of 16 weeks.
