Hiya,
Just wondering why this could be happening. Basically, Gonzo used to suffer from this when we first got him (or him us). We went out for a minute, came back lots of times, then longer, came back and so on. Until he was fine being on his own for a while, which lasted for about 3 years. He's 4 now.
Now, he's gone back to how he was, and the old way of training him again hasnt worked. He whines, then barks then howls (neighbours tell me). Unit we come home, then goes mad jumping and VERY exited, which we ignore.
Even when he's he's left with people he knows (visiting family) he cries when we go out and he's with them, just doesnt bark or howl, and he's used to them and their house.
We're moving soon to rented accomodation and he is going to be unsettled for a bit, which is understandable, but dont want this to be a problem for new neighbours.
Any ideas on why this behaviour has returned and how we can try to resolve this? He's a Patterdale btw.
Many Thanks
Ben :)

Aw Ben, a patterdale, I don't own one but the ones I've met have been great little monkeys and I love them

As for your/his problem, other members will probably ask the same question; Did this start up again post/pre Nov 5th? Or can you pinpoint a time, such as being kennelled or the vets?

HIya,
He is a little Monkey, but I love him to bits :) He's so good. Only problem I have with him is recall, I think the hunting instice is too strong in him. Once he spot summat, he's off, and I may aswell not be there for all the attention he pays me. Got a 50 foot loead for him now, so at least he can play and run with other dogs. He's a goo lad really. It actually started when my OH moved to London. We're moving down soon. Hopefully he'll settle back down, but not too sure :(
