Before you have to register, and is it the council you have to register with. How many litters are you allowed in a year, can anyone help please.

The law was changed a few years ago  to Breeding and Sale of Dogs (Welfare) Act 1999 http://www.opsi.gov.uk/ACTS/acts1999/19990011.htm  and it is now the number of litters bred in any 12 month period, if five or more thn you are required to ahve a license, though a lcoal authority can decide you are commercial with fewer litters.
