ive got a bit of a problem with my staffs they both have an equal amount of toys between them but the problem is whenever kacey has a toy bailey will always try and get it off her even if bailey is playing with something else she will always want whatever kacey has got then if kacey shows no interest in wanting it back bailey will leave it alone.
its the same on walks kace always has to find a stick and bailey has never been interested in them until a few weeks ago kacey was happily running with a stick then bailey tried gettin it off her i tried to give her a different stick but no she has to have the one kacey has got.
has anyone else experienced this?

It is called competitiveness, and is just the same in our own species. :D

Yup my dogs are like this!
Also, if the younger one is getting cuddles, the older one will get one of the toys and start throwing it around excitedly, younger one goes to claim toy and older one gets in on the cuddles, mwa ha ha! :D :D :D

When mine are laying in a heap by the fire, on a cold night, along comes my smartest girl and she can't get to the heat so...she starts to bark like there is someone at the door. They all jump up and she immediately takes pole position..... it never fails and never fails to make me laugh.

Yep we get that too, over favourite beds,:D
hi i have 2 young spaniels and mine are both like this. if del does not like a treat you give him he will take it anyway just so mags cant have it. also my mam has a mongral who is 16. because she was getting old she never played anymore. however when i take mine around tanya thinks she is a pup again and starts playing. it seems to have really helped her. she also picks up sticks in the garden if my dogs are near them and she has never ever played with sticks before. i think its cute!!!

That's lovely.
I think she is reliving her youth she does some really funny things that she never used to do. yesterday she picked up a bit of paper from the floor and started ripping it up just as if she was a puppy again because she thought my dogs wanted it.

Duibh's always doing that sort of thing to Dorain. :D
i think that is really intelligent, dont think mine are quite that bright!!!!
