Yeh no blood-testing kits  yippeeee!!

Well, Hayley, most of the breeders I know have two matings, leaving 24 hours between. My elder bitch had 2 litters, but was ready for mating on completely different days of her season each time. If I had mated my bitches on days 10 and 11 I would probably not had any litters, as neither of mine have been ready that early, and would certainly not have stood willingly. I hope no-one on here now believes that they HAVE to mate their bitch on days 10 and 11 to ensure she takes.

Well I had a bitch here to be mated to my male and for her first litter she was mated on day 13, 2nd litter day 16 and this time day 19. So it just goes to show that they are not even the same day for all there matings. We have allways done a 2nd mating 24 hours after the 1st but would not do one on the 3rd day as it is just too far apart.
