Need a sim card hopefully pay as you go that can have the same network calls free. Even if you have to put £10 a month on them.
I know there are ones that do eg O2 to O2 free calls. but dont know where.
Doesnt matter the network. We both have a good package for 600 minutes a month free plus unlimited text messages., But the way our lives are we could do with free unlimited calls as well!!!! am I asking too much????
Lea :) :) :)

Vodaphone do a deal where you select 3 or 4 numbers and they calls are free and you only need it pay it on one phone. £5..  My daughter and husband have contracts, my daughter is £15 and my hubby is £10. My works mobile is vodaphone so it works well for us. We all call each other.  Both my daughter and hubby have decent free calls and texts also I think about 500 texts need to check mins.  They used to be about £40 to we dropped the new phones.

I get a new phone every year with my work and they are always decent things so give the cast off to my hubby.. :-)

EDITED TO ADD.. it is avaliable on both contract and pay as you go..

FULL DETAILS HERE called Vodaphone family

Im on o2. If i put £10 a month i get 300 free texts. if i put £15 on a month its £500 free texts and if i put £30 on    a month its unlimited free texts and I can also chose 1 number to get 500 free minutes a month to. I am a heavy text user but I rarely use all my £10 each month so my credit just grows and grows

Nicky

Its on pay as u go

We use the voda family, you can also have 7 numbers for £10 which is what we use.

So with vodaphone, if we buy a sim card (we both have unlocked old phones) Will it just be £10 a month, or would we have to add more credit as well??
Lea :)

I pay through my contract, it's £10 added on to the price I pay anyway, but that covers all the phones and it certainly makes the charges drop! Also its good to know the boys can call me even when they have used their credit. Have a look on the voda website, but on a pay you go I would think you pay for it as part of one of the many calling packages they do. remember though, its vodafone to vodafone.

I think that is right Lea. If it is just the pair of you that phone each other with the occasional call and text that would be fine. Out phones bills are a fraction now because between the 3 of us one is always calling one of the other for something.
Trying to get my mother to get a vodaphone sim card also as she is another one we call a lot. :-)

Thats the thing. We have both just signed up for an 18 month contract with O2 which is brilliant, but its the phone calls to each other that will push it up :( We are very rarely at home at the same time :)
Hence me wanting another one that will cut the cost of calls :) We will just use our old phones to ring each other and text on the O2 contract :D :D
Thankyou, Will get him to have a look at that later :) :)

I thought O2 were doing something similar, saw an ad on TV but wasnt really listening, but sure that gave free calls in a number group?
- By Lea Date 14.11.07 10:51 UTC
Ah yes, but we went for the unlimited text freedom package!!!! And yes, it will save me LOADS of money LOL :) :)

All these call plans..... far to much for me to take in :D :D I have a simple plan with voda, which gives me a new phone every 12 mths, and some texts, and 30mins  free x network calls a month. With the Vat and the £10 home package, it only costs £22 a month. Had this plan for ages, never go over the 30 mins now I have the £10 family pack, hardly ever top the kids phones up (cruel me :D :D but the youngest can be excessive on texts ;) ) and it helps with any calls from/to hubby (he's a talker, once he gets going there is no stopping him, even when he's about to leave work and wants to know if I need anything from the shop ;) ) Apart from family, I never use my mobile phone unless it was an emergency, as in car breaking down, not 999,  but i do like to know credit is there if I needed it, hense the contract.

I'm with O2 pay as you go and I have to top up £10 a month, in return I get an extra free 500 minutes talktime to phone other O2 numbers or any landline beginning 01/02 but I have to do this from my 'favourite postcode'.   I also have another treat of free texts between 7-8pm every day for the month.
