Has anyone used the small seesaws that can be bought from on-line stores for agility - I am going to enter my dog in for her first competition in Feb and must do some extra training on contacts - especially the seesaw that she thinks she can jump onto the middle of.  The few goes we get when we have the contact equipment out are not enough.   Are these seesaws helpful or too small?  I have made my own jumps but I am pretty sure I can't make my own seesaw!!!

Hi, Yes I think it will help, it certainly helped my two. I bought a garden sized seesaw from StormandMaxsplace on ebay. It's great, much lighter to move around but the dogs didn't seem to notice the difference practising on that then using the 'real' one which is much bigger and heavier :)

West Wales - LLanelli - it is an independant show.  I am afraid I am going to get muddled up with going round the course - I think it taxes my brain more than my dogs - she is excellent at making it up when I get lost!!!   I went to watch one in Brecon and saw all sort of competitors at different levels of competancy.  That gave me the confidence to have a go.  Not everyone was an expert.  This will give me something to aim for.

Have fun. It is amazing how easy it is to get lost..and sometimes the easier the course the easier it is to forget where to go! And a complicated course I go the right way but stop all confused anyway cos I can't believe I could be going the right way. Hopeless! Poor dogs what they have to put up with.  Yes and there are all levels of ability and dogs being dogs and people being people we never know how good or bad we will be on the day.

Just got my seesaw and put it together - can't wait to try it tomorrow.  It wasn't the Storm and Max's but another I found that looked longer and worked out a bit cheaper - it is a very good size - Now all I have to do is teach Meg to cross it properly.  It has a non-slip surface which will help.
