It never ceases to amaze me what people will happily put animals through :(  This is the new French idea for a dog washing machine

Those poor dogs look so unhappy:mad:
At a car wash near us they have installed a dog wash area but it is a really nice one with a shallow bath with shower attachment, and all the assessories that you would need. Im still not a fan though!

Not impressed!

Why would any owner be happy to put their dogs in it?

The only time I didn't mind it as much is when the owner got in too, to shut a dog in on it's own was cruel, but somehow I can't imagine many humans wanting to go in aswell after their walks together.

There is also the worry, as we know of mechanical failure, what if the water should come out scolding hot, what if it does not stop, what if the heat from the blower is too high, the door gets stuck, I could write a book on what if's :-D

Nope, a plain old bath and shower is and will be my only prefence. :-)

MY dog would panic if shut in like that - even if I was in there with her (and I think I would find it claustophobic) she would be very frightened.  ( She can't even stand a hose or shower - I have to sponge her clean)

Seems cruel to me, why would you scare a dog like that?  But there again, I'm obviously quite weird.  It got too much bathing my large dogs in the bath, I'm not getting any younger, and my back kept complaining.  Nearly two years ago I had in the workmen, explaining that I wanted a double length walk in shower, no fancy shapes, it had to be just right for a Collie to walk straight in.  I knew by the look on their faces that they found me eccentric.  Darn good job they can't see the end results though!   I still found it difficult to bathe the bigger dogs without getting saturated.  I could just do the toy dogs by kneeling on the floor, and not getting in the shower myself.  Didn't work with my Beardies though.  I eventually had to admit that I was going to find it a lot easier to strip off and have a shower myself at the same time.  Once the dog is washed, I find they sit and wait for me to shower and wash my hair.  Have often wondered though, what people would think if they could see me!   Yes, I think weird is probably right, but it's so much less hassle!

Funny enough that is what my dobe ownign freidn does strips off to old bra and nickers and gets in the shower with the dobes to shower them.

My Mitz would jump through the glass to get our rather then stay in there.

What a horrible invention, thought you were supposed to keep suds away from eyes and ears of dogs as well, doesnt seem to do that in that machine!!

I shower with my dogs to bath them. Never thought it that odd. Closing the door keeps them in the shower and that means I'm getting wet too. When I worry about being naked around my dog is when I'll start worrying about me. :-D

I too get in the shower with our GR - I can close the door and keep a lot of the water inside. The little one is small enough to go in the sink if I am feeling adventurous but would normally go in the bath for a wash.
