Fav brands?? I can't seem to find any that have a longer lasting scent.

No matter which shampoo I use the smell is covered over the next day by all the mud that Harley makes a beeline for :D

I don't use shampoo on my dogs very often and still have the bottle we bought 2 years ago - can't remember what it is off hand. Perhaps someone who shows will be able to help you out as they will use it on a more regular basis :)

The most wonderful shampoo's I have used for my Afghan (with the thickest most annoying coat in the world ever!) is from the Doreen Paige range (there is a website)  They are truly amazing and smell fantastic.  The intensive conditioner is fabulous.  There is also a gorgeous finishing spray that smells fantastic.

PS There is a product for itchy skins too called Dermadine which I found particularly useful when my stressed, post op hound developed some itchy patches.

I used Fido's Black Conditioning shampoo on Curtis one year prior to SKC.   At ringside, my friend & I were saying ' What's that lovely smell'?   It was Curtis, still smelling sweet a day after being washed!

Our GR is the same as Harley, there's not a lot of point in making her smell nice because she won't like it and will take the first opportunity to get rid of the smell   The problem being that in her opinion the best smell to use to cover it up is quite likely to be the sort of smell that will lead to another bath!

She gets a bath with shampoo every couple of months or when she's rolled in something particularly bad apart from that she gets the occaisional hose down to get the mud off.

I really like the Groomers Evening Primrose for mine but then I don't like them to be that flowery. If I can smell it I figure it must overwhelm their poor sensitive noses. And as Harley says, a day out in the fields and they find some of their own hair product anyway.

I love wirey coat.  It cleans and smells beautifully softens enough to allow combing and drying but once dry they still have their love harsh coats.

Have you tried Quistel??

Smells gorgeous, I can sit sniffing the bottle for hours or the dogs if theyve just had a bath. lol
Ive tried lots of shampoo but find this to be the best, you only use a little and get a good lather, and its medicated too so stops itching etc... not your usual medicated smell though

Not sure about shampoo as our boy always smells all "doggy" even after a good wash but we have a calvin klein doggy perfume which smells fabulous!
