Topic Other Boards / Foo / melted cooker hood filters
- By ceejay Date 06.11.07 20:51 UTC
I am trying to clean up our flat to rent out again.  Haven't done the cleaning myself for sometime and the cooker hood was thick with grease.  Nothing was really moving it.  After dousing it in washing soda and hot water numerous times and scrubbing with brush it was still thick.  So I picked up my drain cleaner - gets rid of grease it said.  Well it got rid of my filter and the grease - dissolved it   I left the back door open because there were fumes and wandered off to sit at the computer.  Now I have the task of finding replacements and I don't even know what make the thing is - it is 6 years old too.  Does anyone know if the mesh wire can be bought and cut to size.  I know that is a rather hopeful request - but there may be someone out there who knows please.
