Having just had one of those foolish moments (Senior moment maybe  !) and decided to bath all three of my girls..Bernese for those of you who don't know!!!. When will I ever learn...1. not to do all three on the same day (Backbreaking) 2. Put on a swimsuit first (Very very wet!!). 3.Do it outside under the hosepipe (It's not really too cold for the poor little babies and my bathroom now looks like a hairy war zone)
4. No matter how many towels I use they still shake over everything so the hall, kitchen and conservatory is now soaking.(Thank goodness it's a nice warm day:cool:)
Still I have three beautiful clean sweet smelling girls, just got to figure out how to keep them out of the nice slimy pond tomorrow during "WALKIES"
Aileen....and three lovely girls.

Can I just say three little words - double toweling coats. :) These are fantastic after a bath! I have two goldens and like yours they try to wash the interior of the house after a bath. I put their robes on for 30 minutes and they dry off much quicker and the house stays a whole lot dryer. They love their coats! I don't use them if it's a really hot day but if it's normal-cold they enjoy that little bit of warmth until they start to dry off.

As for tomorrow - I predict you'll either find a nice stash of fox or horse poo for a roll-a-thon. :-D

I should have guessed you weren't volunteering to bath 'other peoples' dogs :-D

I know what you mean by back breaking (own GSDs)- but at least you've got it all over and done with now- just think if you'd only done 1 each day then you still wouldn't have fininshed.  I assume your bathrooms the same as mine after I've bathed them- I find clumps of fur high up on the walls for weeks after even though I'm always careful to try and clean the bathroom properly afterwards :-)

Gosh you're brave!
I don't bathe my monster nowadays, but she's a GSD and doesn't need it often (she's not one for rolling around in stuff either....a real girlie girl!)  She gets hosed when it's warm or we use the watering can on her :-D
I remember doing the bathing thing when we were taking 2 or 3 dogs to a show though......oooh I ached afterwards!!

I wish I hadn't read this. I've got 3 to bath today for a show tomorrow ;) The pup hasn't been bathed before so I have no idea how I'll get on......... anyone got scuba gear?........ or a wet suit.....or........ :D

You will be pleased to know we managed a walk this morning with NO poo....of the roll about in kind, and apart from a splodge in the pond all are still looking good....won't last long though.
I suppose I should think about washing six grubby puppies before they set off for their new homes in a couple of weeks (Two are off together "To different owners!!!" on a flight of adventure in a privately chartered plane to reside in the lovely Jersey countryside ) wish I was going too
How can puppies get so grubby when they never go out??? Newspaper is a wonderfull thing but the newsprint is a devil for making white paws grey!
Maybe I can get away with a wet flannel?????:eek:

LOL Puppy socks sounds fun...and bibs as well? Can you just imagin the fun you could have trying to put 24 socks on every morning  Think I'll stick to the wet flannel...or maybe a bit of spit on a corner of my hanky.....

someone suggested on here one time to use  the white chippy paper she asked her local shop if she could buy a pack off him said it was great as didnt give off the black on the paws on white dogs.
