I am loving this cold weather...no really i am one of the few people that loves the winter time. I love the fact that it gets dark so early and when its really windy and you are all wrapped up. I almost jump for joy when i can put the heating on and watch the rain etc outside and be all nice and warm inside!

It makes me feel all christmassy!

I  HATE winter, but it hasn't been cold here yet in Manchester.

Definitely autumn in all its glory here, rather than winter. Have just bought three very wet and muddy dogs back from Swinley Forest, and a lovely time we all had amongst the autumn colour.

I think I would love Winter if I did not have a dog to walk in mud! :-D

I'm not bothered by the cold weather, love the frosty mornings, the snow, (though we get that in Spring now! :-D ) and yes, curled up warm inside watching rain and listening to wind, it is comforting and I agree feels Christmasy. :-)

It's just the fields get boggy and muddy, (as I have a river at the bottom of my house) it's all the cleaning of my girl and my mum's dogs afterwards, I hate it! And then when my girl is all clean and dry again, it's time to do it all again. :-D

love winter....tis when we do all (well most) of our hunting, stalking, shooting and have roaring log fires all afternoon and evening. I hate summer!
- By Brainless [gb] Date 04.11.07 09:40 UTC
Love Spring and Autumn, hate Hot summers, and wet Winters.

Winter!!!  It is like summer here.  Yesterday I was in t-shirt at agility. Lovely weather.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 04.11.07 10:36 UTC
Yep still T shirt weather here in the daytime.

Hate it, hate it, hate it!  And it's still quite warm - relatively speaking :p

I don't do cold at all, my heating bill will be rediculous and I'll look flippin enormous all winter because of all the layers. :D I do like the frosty mornings - very beautiful - but too blinkin cold!!

I wouldn't mind if I spent winter somewhere that does it properly - you know, snow right through the season, and preferably with a snowboard to hand... but here it's just cold to me, and not enough nice icy landscapes to look at.

Of course, I could just be grumpy because I made the mistake of watching NL's Christmas Vacation last night and it's all snow and saucer sleds, and lights and little plastic reindeer and I want to go crimbo crazy but it's only early November... :D :D :D

me to i love winter when you are in doors and the rain and wind is banging against your windows and you are sniggled up in front of a coal fire with a hot drink lovely
- By pavlova [gb] Date 04.11.07 11:40 UTC
I would love it if I only had myself to look after and not two dirty filthy monsters to clean after roling about in the fields I,m dirtier and wetter than they are by the time I,ve finished cleaning the little darlings with my bucket of warm water and chamois leather.
And can someone please tell me why it always seems to rain on the last walk around the block before bed
- By Angels2 Date 04.11.07 12:52 UTC
I hate summer, I hate being all hot and bothered and not being able to see when the sun is in your eyes and having to remeber to re apply suncream to the whole family ever couple of hours etc etc.

Yes i wish for snow also but we only had it here a few years ago and then before that about fourty years ago!

Although the one thing i don't like about winter is the ice but luckily we don't get ice here!

Me to, when the clocks go back I go straight into Winter and Xmas mode. The house is so comfy and cosy. I have started my Xmas deep cleaning at the weekend where I clear all the cuboards of things I have no used all year. :-)

Me too, I love winter. :D What I hate is hot summers. Though I think the best thing would be able to intersperse a few weeks of each season as I think the problem with all of them is that they go on for too long consecutively. Could someone have a word with Mother Nature? ;)

What a lot of cold tatties you are!

Give me sun + warmth + long evenings of daylight = motivation.    Now dogs have to be walked earlier, heating on from 4pm onwards, I can't go on I'm depressing myself thinking about it.    Walking over icey pavements trying to stay upright and not break your arms/legs/neck etc.  Wet dogs, wind blowing all the leaves from neighbours trees into my garden, Christmas beginning in September - no thanks - fast forward me to June/July.

hate winter...
love summer...
having to wear warm layers to travel to work and then being too hot in the office, chapped lips, runny eyes because of the cold wind and too hot travelling home on trains because of those layers.......
against...
vest top/shorts..... 'ooooh it's too hot' complaints from other people....
hot summer nights..... sitting outside whilst it's still getting dark at 10 in the evenings.. sipping a coooool drink....

gimme summer anytime!!! lol

guess that's why I'm emigrating!! lol

I love winter -but having lived here for 19 years now I have still never seen an actual WINTER in the UK, just an endless autumn that eventually passes into spring. ;) And I DON'T like autumn. Too much rain and wind!
- By Angels2 Date 11.11.07 22:41 UTC
Went for a lovely long walk today with the wind blowing wrapped up in warm coats it was great. I must admit there is one downside to this cold weather and that is the leaves! Spent ages clearing them from our garden! (our boy enjoyed rolling into the piles i made with his nicely groomed coat!)

I like winter when I'm at home and all I have to do is walk the dog etc, but I cycle to work and to be honest the cold, wet, dark mornings and evenings do nothing for me :D.
- By huskypup [us] Date 13.11.07 11:11 UTC
I love crisp clear winter mornings when the ground is white with frost and so do the dogs.  But I really dislike the drizzlie damp, cold weather we have today, yuck, soggy dogs with soaking wet undercarriages.
