Topic Dog Boards / General / Which brush
- By supervizsla Date 01.11.07 23:11 UTC
Hi. My mongrel is moulting at the moment. She has a really wierd coat that doesn't suit any of the normal combs and brushes you can buy. I have tried slickers, combs (flea version works best and what I am using at the moment), brushes. She is a terrier cross but her coat is neither wire nor soft. She only has a double coat around her haunches.
Any clues?
Thanks
The reason that I am asking is that I am living in a flat now that has cream/yellow carpets that just look rubbish most of the time because I can't get the hair off her and to stay on the brush. It all just seems to end up on the floor :(
Thanks

I would try a horse rubber curry. They are excellent at shifting hair, and not expensive.

will try that. Do you know where I could get one except online?
Thanks

Some pet shops have them, saddlers, country stores, those sort of places. make sure its a rubber one though, the plastic ones are a bit useless and scratchy, and don't get the metal one, (well, if you saw it you wouldn't ;) ) its really just for cleaning  brushes :D.
