Just been to see her.
Her kidneys arent working properly and that has meant that the Tramadol she was taking hasnt diluted like normal and has been like having concentrate Tramadol so she's had an opium overdose. Her breathing went down to 4 breaths a minute and she was in a critical condition between 2-6am. They have added an intravenous drug which is reversing the effect of the Tramadol and we could see a difference as soon as they gave it her. Before I left her breaths were up to 12 a minute so thats better news.
Basically she is now out of the critical stage but the next 24-48 hours will determine more. One of the nurses was talking about something he'd found at the side of her bed and she asked him what he'd lost so she's still all there upstairs but just wants to sleep all the time. She did manage a smile though so again thats positive! :)
