Just had a call from a friend who is seeking help for a friend. Bitch has been whelping for 3 days and is quite ill on a drip. One pup has died but they are left with 10 pups to try and hand rear while bitch is unable to cope. Can anyone help. the person concerned is in Manchester/Stockport area

Update they have now lost three pups and urgently need help from anyone with bitch in the north west area who might have spare milk to help foster however many they can.

just wondering how things are going?i have just emailed someone i know "up north" to see if they can or know of anyone that can help

Hi Pauline,
The update is not good.
The mother sadly  lost her fight and three more pups have died.
Lets hope the remaining pups make it.
The vet has said at the moment they are to be tube fed,until they have turned the corner.

Poor, poor Dotty.  Obviously 2 big litters in 7 months were too much for her.    Very sad.

What a shame for the bitch and pups, was there a very good reason for breeding again so soon? Whatever the cause, and whatever regrets the breeder may have lets hope the rest of the pups make it.

This is known privately amongst the breed. I really don't think it should have been put on here. The breeder, for whatever reason, is now grieving, so why upset them even more by putting things like this on a public forum, no matter what your belief.
