Does anyone have any experience of this food?

What would you like to know.
My bulldog is on Royal canin and does really well on it as he is a fussy eater.

Just wanted to know what you thought of the quality? They do a breed specific great dane food and my adult eats like a horse but always seems on the skinny side, just wondered if anyone has experience of the food, it has been recommended to me.

Mine both have the breed specific variety, both look well on it

It's brilliant to get weight on.  I'm trailing the light for mine.  Boxer 26 made them put on too much weight.

I dont mind her putting a bit of weight on, Im fed up of being the only porky one in my household!! I think that she is naturally just a size zero bitch!!

The only problem i have is trying to get the weight off.  I have two that are just right and one chubb that i'm trying my best to get back in shape.  Hope the RC works for you

I weaned a litter on it and never again.

I have however fed it to adults and would do again.

Why not wean a litter onto it again?

That is what I was thinking,  I always think it is worth giving a reason why you change or dislike food. I know loads of people who have really had good results with royal canin and puppies.

My toy breeds are on RC mini junior and mini adult, and do very well on it.  A couple are on the podgy side, but they are both greedy, I think it's all down to how much they eat, more than anything.  Some eat what they want and walk away.  The two podges are always looking to steal what is left.  All the dogs fed on it are healthy, and the coats look good.

I feed RC Mini too and my dogs are in fantastic condition, no supplements nothing added to food and their coats are fabulous :D
Have also weened 3 litters onto it with great results :)

Hi I feed one of my shih tzu's on the new ''shih tzu'' formula, and she has never looked so good, her coat, skin etc.....and the end result is very easy to pick up.

I presume its a great dane you have? you will find they mature much much slower and as much as you would like weight on them it wont come till at least 2-3years old and i certainly wouldnt be rushing it on either...

Royal cannine you dont have to feed as much as an everyday brand specific to the breed, we did a free trial on the great dane food and none of mine would eat it... But i know plenty of other danes that loved it..

I did a free trial as well (of another variety, not a breed specific one) and my problem was that the bitch we gave the food to put an awful lot of weight on, we had to give her tiny rations and she was forever hungry as she only got half as much food as she was used to yet got so fat in the end we couldn't finish the bag as Crufts was looming. But that was my only objection.

I think that was a problem it was very high in fats and also you didnt need to feed as much, there was a seminar a few months ago i didnt attend as i thought we would be pushed into buying more but apparently it was very informative and many people were swayed by the talk and what was repeated to me i was tempted to but at the end of the day mine didnt care for it...

all our hounds have it and i have reared 2 litters on the size specific food very successfully and cannot praise it enough.
