I have not been on here for ages as have started teacher training and am exhausted!!  Hope everyone is OK.
Just wondered if anyone knows the best way to find a good, reasonably priced local plumber (I know recommendation is best but no one seems to know a good plumber round here).  Are there any websites that list people?  I am in South East London if you happen to be a plumber looking for work but that is probably a long shot :)
Many thanks

If I were you I'd check out yell.com and ring round asking for quotes. I did that and found a lovely plasterer and plumber.

:)

http://www.plumbingregister.com/

This site gives you all the info on finding a registered competant plumber, they will be no more expensive than unregistered and possibly cost you a good deal less in the long run :D :D :D

What a shame you don't live near me as my neighbour is a plumber & a good one. Not massively expensive either. People find him by the local village magazine as well as the trade association etc

Hi Alex

Sounds like you are having fun doing your training ! :D

I always think word of mouth is the best way to get a good Plumber. We have a very good builder and a good friend who is a sparky and normally ask them for recommendations as we know they do a very good jo and would only recommend somebody they rate :)
