My friend has a puppy that has had runs on & off for a couple of weeks. He is currently on Proplan puppy chicken & rice, but isn't that wild about it. She has had a stool sample tested & that was all clear. She is now feeding him cooked chicken & he loves that, but can anyone recommend a suitable dry food to wean him back onto? I think he just has a sensitive digestion as there is nothing else wrong with him, he was last wormed about 2 weeks ago. (his littermate is on proplan & she is fine, as where the rest of the litter)
You could try Burns or similar but be careful to change over gradually as to stop the situation exacerbating. You could also try Barf diet. Have a word with the breeder also to see what her thoughts are on this. Hope all works out well

Hi...i am the breeder, but the dam lives with a friend of mine so the puppies are at her house. All the others have been on proplan with no problems at all, except for this one male. I will tell her to get some Burns & give that a try. Thanks.

Sorry didn't realise. There is also another really good food that is natrual and has pro and pre biotics added, it's quite expensive but vets are now starting to rec it, it's Berrimans. www.berrimans.net
Hope the wee lad is soon better
Forgot to ask, how old are the pups? We have had problems before at 6 weeks of age when the pups get a little runny but have found that cutting out all dairy (milk) etc and adding a teaspoon of probiotic yoghurt onto their feed usually clears it up.
