can someone who knows collies settle a longstanding question for me....I owned the most wonderful collie cross, border collie working sheepdog dad, mum was a Welsh collie/black flatcoat cross. What is a welsh collie? is it a 'real' breed, as in KC reg breed, or just a 'name'? he was wonderful, needed constant stimulation, loved the loose jumping school!, would have made a fantastic agility/flyball dog had I known about it years ago, fantastic nature and trained so well. Its 18 yrs ago, and I still miss him.

One comes to class, not as strong 'collie eyeball' as the B/Cs but qiute vocal and needs to be 'busy-busy' all the time

barely hairy and brainless....thanks!! Some of the pictures of these dogs bring back memories and on the site you gave me Brainless there is a picture which is him to a T! Britches, hairy front legs, colour....like seeing him as a young dog again. of course, he was more handsome.....;)....he was my boy.
