why does my dog, kick and bury his pooh, if I don't pick it up quickly enough I get it kicked into my face:eek:  He is the same if he has a wee too, I thought it was only cats that did this?  He is approx 2 years old and this is a new habit

They scrape to draw attention to it - so that other dogs know that they're around. He's just become confident enough for drawing attention to himself to not be a danger - he's growing up. :)

Hi I have a litter of 8 wk old pups doing this at the mo My older dogs do it too but they didn't start until they were 18 months plus. I too thought it was down to them drawing attention to themselves but would 8 wk old pups do it?
Interested to hear what people think

Maybe they are super confident pups.

Maybe! They have typical outgoing Spitz temperaments. Perhaps as they are at 'home' all theyve known and not bought in that they have this confidence, all the others were bought in at 8wks. Perhaps I will ask their new owners if it continues in their homes (unfamiliar territory).
