What have you lost important to you.
When I was 4 I had a hernia pressing on my bladder, unbeknown to everyone, so used to wet the bed etc alot. I had a chart at preschool and for a certain amount of time I didnt wet the bed, I got a reward.(I had a hernia operration at the age of 5 and I never wet the bed after that!!!!)
Now the reward was a glod coloured (dont know if it was gold) neclace with a whistle hung on it. Now I cannot remember the last time I saw it but it was before I went to high school. so well over 20 years ago.
But to this day I have not forgotten it and would love to find it!!!! Not a hope, as all rooms in mums house have been decprated since, but I live in hope LOL
What inanimate object(to stop this getting morbid!!!) have you lost that you would love to see again.
Lea :)

I think I was about 7 or 8 (memory fading ;) ) in junior school and we had to write an essay on coffee beans   It was sent to Cadbury's and I won 1st prize! A tin box of chocolates :) I haven't seen that tin since I left home nearly 30 years ago, last seen in the attic :( now you've got me thinking as to whether mum kept it or not?

About 7 years ago I lost my scorpion, Claws! :D Not inanimate I suppose, but I'm guessing he'll probably have died, so became inanimate!!

Unless... he found a mate and lived happily ever after, colonising my mothers house!! That would make her shudder, I never did tell her I'd lost him :D :D

When i was 18 we moved house, i had a puppet i called  'manolito' a mexican.I hung it up on a nail in my old bedroom ready to take so it didnt get his strings muddled up, we forgot it, i told my late mum she said my dad had checked all the rooms and they were all empty, but it was hanging on the wall on the edge of the door so woulnt have been seen when checked, also same time i used to keep all my  'jack wild' cuttings, club membership and two special shiney black n white photos of him in oliver and hr puffnstuff in a folder, in my room it had the top of the stairs cupboard which had a board loose and it was my secret hideout, i left those there too, still feel sad, 32 years later.

A teddy...

I was 8 and it was a soft dark brown teddy, quite small and i think the fur was a little curly, and he was the weighted beany type (but way way before beanie babies came out).. this would be in '88.

I left him on a plane at Plovdiv airport in Bulgaria.... if anyones seen him.... send him home?

I also left my Yamaha flute on a canal boat that was later sold, the new owner found it and contacted me but never sent it back :(

A little Koala toy that clipped onto my clothes.  Fell off at a Game Fair on a large estate (I was about 6 or 7 at the time).  I was so upset :(  Many people spent a long time searching but it never turned up :(

This reminds me of the david bowie film where the old woman had a room full of the girls lost toys.I also miss a good half dozen dolls, huge poodle toy, a growling teddy.

I lost a gold ring with a small diamond in that my Mum and Dad gave me when I was younger.

Don't think it was particularly expensive but it was the last present they bought me before they split up so once it got too small for me I used to wear it on a chain round my neck. Until one day my baby cousin grabbed at the necklace, snapped it and the ring fell into the long grass. I searched but never did find it. I was gutted!!

My mind.

Other than that, a tiny silver ring my Dad bought me when we went to Blackpool.  I was 12 or 13.  I wore it up until I was about 23 on my little finger (Skinny fingers) then had to have it cut off.  I kept it in a little leather pouch type thing and now I can't find it.  I hoped to get a bit put in it to make it bigger because it meant a lot to me.  Can still see the indentation on my little finger where it was, it had gotten so tight!!

My birth certificate! No worries though, found the official site to buy a copy last week :D

Also lost a charm bracelet years ago that I'd had since I was a child.  Wore it to the swimming pool, and somehow it completely disappeared while me and a mate were sitting on towels on the grass by the pool.

When I was 6 I took my favourite Puppy in My Pocket toy to school with me, but it must have fallen out my pocket when playing on the school field. It was yellow labrador figure. If only I'd listened to my mum and not taken it...

Also, when I was primary school age, on holiday in Florida I carried around my dalmatian stuffed toy everywhere. When playing on some of the interactive displays at one of the theme parks I must has put it down and not picked it up again. We checked the lost and found, but it hadn't been handed in and my mum was angry someone had taken her daughter's favourite cuddly toy. It got replaced with an identical one, but it was never the same.

Finally, a power surge fried our old computer a couple of years ago, and I lost hundreds of digital photos taken in places that I may never visit again. I still cling on to the corrupted files to this day, in a vague hope that one day a might discover a way to recover them.

A teddy bear that my parents bought me as a child from a theme park, i loved him and he slept in my bed every night until i was "too cool" to sleep with toys then he went in their attic and never returned. Its a shame because i would have loved to have passed him down to my girls!
