I'm a very happy chappy today. I've just completed my NVQ level 2 :) and its just now waiting for my certificate once my file has been checked.
I'm already thinking of level 3 which my assessor believes I should ask to go for.
We also spoke to the senior nurse who thinks I should consider moving towards a position as a nurse.
Wow I am so glad I got out of my old factory job. I've never enjoyed life so much!!
After whistleblowing on my old company I thought know one would ever touch me but for caring this was a bonus that worked in my favour.
So here I am fast approaching 40 and well on the road to a new career.
The one thing that I do wish is that there were more male carers. It might not make you rich or give you a big job tittle but the rewards are worth so much more.
To see someone simply remove a screw cap from a cup which they have not done for a few years due us helping them build up confidence and strength and then seeing them smile makes it worth every thing.
Caring has shown me just how lucky I am and how even the smallest tasks I take for granted.
