Hi, hubby tells me Biscuit brought his breakfast up this morning, no apparent reason, looks and appears, healthy enough.  Off we go shopping and come back he's been ill again.  Do you starve them like I'd starve myself and wait and see.

I'd starve for 24 hrs and feed something light, like chicken and rice for the next 2 meals and see how it goes after that :) hope he is feeling Ok tomorrow

Thanks for that, I had a feeling we would starve, we brought him in while Dicksy ate, he's asleep now in the lounge, he looks fine and when he was outside was playing ball etc.,

No, I never starve the dogs. Never had any problems. Vera

We've never starved unless a vet told us to.  We normally just give ours something light (Chicken and rice) and see how they cope if they don't after 24 hours then we tend to visit the vets (am assuming here that the only symptoms are the dog being sick).

Having said that I know people who do starve and that seems to work just as well

I leave it up to the dog, if they want their dinner then they get it, as I find they know if they need to starve it out.

My dogs would have you believe that I starve them on a daily basis and that they haven't been fed for weeks.  However, the truth is very different!  A puke means you get NOTHING for at least 12hrs!  If they're really poorly they won't mind and if they're faking, they'll pester the life out of you.

Dogs do seem to vomit in a random way!

Biscuit is fine, now we didn't feed that evening and gave him a light breakfast.  He was fine with that, so had his dinner in the evening as normal.  No idea what made him ill.  Thanks to all

hi Annabella, thanks for your comments and the pig came from a local garden centre.  Baytree Nurseries!  We keep CD's in but it's a real dust trap be warned!
