Where has my topic disappeared to?

Is it really that distasteful to discuss the menopause on a public forum  Did it breach the TOS?

Or have I missed something and it all got out of hand

I have no idea where it went either. Was it very long?
sometimes admin take them off to edit them. I didnt think there was anything that breached the terms of service on it last time I looked. Perhaps admin can explain. I shouldnt imagine it was removed because it was distasteful, because i dont think anyone in admin is such a dinosaur.

It could have been the constant talking of bleeding, which i admit does make me cringe a little, and does sometimes tend to go overboard and slightly to unnecessarily into detail here imo, and tampons etc etc.But it was no worse than the current "friends with benefits" thread which discusses rubber toys etc.

But neither are bad enough to have to be removed IMHO. The site admin must be a man :P  :o

It does happen from time to time, I'm afraid:rolleyes:

Sometimes a member complains (though heavens only knows who .....maybe a lurker???) and sometimes, I think that Admin just feels it is inappropriate  :D

With nairy a warning/explanation to the OP, which really, really irritates...........

It's still going - it's called "Is it just me?" :)

I never understand the moderation of this board, and good luck getting an explanation. I've sent messages to admin asking why my posts where removed and never got a reply. I found your topic interesting Choc, something to look forward to  :D

Thankyou for that  it was "educational" :D

Right think I better step in here as a moderator. We aren't here 24 /7  moderators or admin. Posts get removed for very wide and varied reasons.Legal implications, offence caused to other members weather unintentional or not, inappropriate links (may not seem so but are such as copyright, other foura and members own sites etc)
We sometimes tread a very fine line and may seem to err on the side of ridiculous censorship at times but the forum wouldnt exist  if all these things were not watched.
Speaking for myself I get it wrong at times but then its only a topic of conversation for such a short time we move on and find something else to natter about. Maybe a little paranoia sets in when it happens a couple of time to posts we have made.:D

I will second that ...we ALL have very busy lives, work, children, houses, dogs etc etc :)

Posts do get removed for a huge variety of reasons as already stated, often legal implications, sometimes taste, sometimes because of the ToS ...and yes, I have made mistakes before now as well ...but...the forum moves on and these things are usually quickly forgotten on both sides ;)

Hmmmm.........well it's the 2nd topic I've had removed in the space of a week...the 1st one maybe I can understand, although no explanation given, as well as another topic being locked, again, although I have asked Admin why, I've yet to receive an explanation

Surely, it would be polite to pop a quick P.M to explain why

Makes you wonder why we bother sometimes :(

Hi

I have to agree I have had a post removed this week and no idea why. It would really help if Admin would tell us then we know what the mistake was so we wont do it again.

I dont want to cause them anymore work but I genuingly dont know

We all make mistakes at times and perhaps post things that others would find offensive, but without meaning to.  More of an explanation from the moderators would help to inform us so that we could learn what "those in charge" consider appropriate or not.  They could even do it in a friendly manner
