Put my breed on a search engine today and came across a site in Mexico.  When I looked at a dog I thought that a photograph was very familiar and I'm 99.9% sure it's a photo of one of our original dogs imported 15 years ago.  Too much of a coincidence that they are identical and that the grass and background is too

This photo has a name of a dog and it's parents too but I'm certain that it is our first import!!

Complain and you will probably find it removed.

The worst case I've seen of someone stealing someone elses photos is a person who wrote a book about my breed. They used several photos of mine, without my permission, and without the photographers permission. They've used a photoediting package to turn the photos into pencil drawings but they are very obviously the same photos. I've never done anythign about it, but if I ever won the lottery I'd sue :D

Image theft does seem to be getting more common, I put some portraits of one of my springers on a photo gallery for critique, some time later I got an email to point out a website where one of my photo's had been used as an entry to a competition The person had even cloned out my name from the photo.

Wouldn't be so bad but this is a picture of a female quoting the litter of pups that she's had.  The dog is actually a male and if you look hard enough (pardon the pun) there is a darker cream bit!
