Topic Dog Boards / Health / Stung by wasps

This morning instead of a enjoyable walk in the woods I ended up at the vets as Patti Pharaoh came across a wasps nest on the edge of the woods near our house.  She'd only been off lead about 5 minutes and she was straight back to my side squealing with some wasps still on her. I phoned the vets from my mobile and they suggested a injection so I took her to the surgery.  Apparently other dogs locally had recently been stung by wasps.

She is now curled up asleep.

Oh Pam, poor Patti!

I tell you, the wasps are out in force this year!  Thank goodness she came back to you.

Glad to hear she is recovering. Poor dog. We have a wasp nest in the woods where I walk my dogs. Luckily the dogs can go into the field just near it (they learned very quickly ;) ) Unfortunately today when I went out the nests was broken into bits and the wasps were swarming  . No doubt one of the little darlings (NOT) that visit grandparents have taken it upon themselves to have some so called fun. I'm off to have a little word with granny.......
