Topic Dog Boards / General / Insurance- good for a change

On the 16th August I took Kassie (5yr GSD) for a lump removed off her front leg- cost was £232.10, unfortunately two weeks later I got the dreaded results- it was a tumour :-(  Obviously I'm devastated since she's my pride and joy, the old wise one out of my dogs- the 'special' one (when you know that they really are a one off dog).  I have them insured with Virgin pet insurance and I've just received a cheque- I can't believe how quickly it's been sorted out :-)  It just takes off added pressure at a time when I really could do without it, I can't believe how quickly they've paid out, it's under a fortnight since I sent the claim off.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I do hope that they have been able to get all of the tumour out and the prognosis is good.
I am insured with Argos and they are brilliant at paying up, usually within ten days of recieving the claim form.

Fingers crossed for Kassie
