Last night at Slimming World I was voted Woman of the year.
Its taken me since end of March 06 to lose five stone and I was so chuffed to win I was presented with flowers champagne a sash and a big silver star trophy (nearly made me cry that did)
Now tonight class consultant has been on the phone asking if our local paper can do a feature on SW  and myself also could go on to regional finals if I want to
I,m so excited but also nervous hope you don,t mind me sharing this not often I get to brag about the dogs or anything so I thought I,d tell you this instead.

Well done Pavlova, that is some achievement! Go for it!!!

My SW consultant has just been and left me with a big pile of forms to fill in and OMG the next stage is a week on Sunday
I,ve decided to just go for it and grab any opportunity in life I can from now on.
Lots of horrible things have happened this last twelve months the person I considered my bestest friend let me down badly and its hurt me so much you wouldn,t believe made even worse by the fact we are next door neighbours and have been for nineteen years so I ,m going to just try and get on with my life from now on (hope that doesn,t sound too selfish).
Anyway anyone wanting to see the new slimline me I ,ll be at Darlington tomprrow with my namesake around the GSD ring then I,m rushing home to fill in fourteen pages of questions for when I go before the Judges next week LOL I,ll probably lose another half stone just thinking about it.

I can tell you now what spurred me on.
Sat in a pub one night a mate of mine jokingly said to everyone within earshot "if you want to look slim by the swimming pool on holiday take a fat friend to lie next to you " and then she said
"I usually take Sharon with me "
I tried to laugth it of at the time but I was deeply hurt by it just never let her know but thought to myself right thats it.
And thats what spurred me on. every time I felt like giving in I remembered how I felt that night , but I got the last laugth this year on holiday when I was five stone lighter

ahhh that not nice to hear... have you seen this mate since?  you should make a point!!

it is sad that it takes something like this to make us loose weight....  i get the usual "you used to be so fit" - "what happended?" its still me!!!!  mind you if I was thin it would be a case if "lock uo your husbands" but while I am plumpish I am not a threat *sigh* im the same person....
