I recently got engaged and don't want to get married without my dog there.  Has anyone had a civil ceremony in a registry office (or been to one) where a dog was allowed to attend?

a few years ago my friend got married and took her westies with her! The two westies also got married at the same time!! :D :D
I think it depends on the individual registry office, maybe worth ringing them and finding out x

There was a thread like this just the other day but I can't find it now. I had my Golden Dandy as best man but was NOT allowed to bring him inside the Register office. He had to wait outside for when we took the photos in the gardens there, and I did not use a substitute Best Man inside.

Thanks for the replies.  Marianne - presumably you had to arrange for someone to look after your Dandy in the garden?

Yes I left somebody outside with him -meant they couldn't go inside and see the ceremony but it was okay with the person in question. :) Of course, had it been winter and cold (this was May) he could just have stayed in the car. Once we came out I took over Dandy and he's in all the photos.
