I haven't used them personally, but they are always talked about on the agility forum as being very fast, cheap and well made. www.hamsterbaskets.co.uk

hi jane, thanks. I had a quick look but they look really cheap n nasty and i need very heavy duty:cool:
- By Lori Date 14.09.07 09:57 UTC
You wouldn't need one for an Espace would you Sam? Unlikely, but I already ordered mine only to find out a man at my training club has one. He left a note on the new car today not knowing it was me. :) could have saved myself a wait and some dosh! :( He has bull mastiffs and DDB's so it must be sturdy.

spoke to Dave but unfortunately he wants to fit on site, near london somewhere so no good for us.

Hi Sam Don't know where you are  but I know a guy in |Scotland who makes them specially to fit your  vehicle.    Very reasonable and    heavy duty. If you are interested pm me

Have you tried Lintran? When calling around they were the only ones who had tailgates in stock. They didn't have my car but they might have yours.

If anyone has a tailgate guard to fit a v Reg Volvo V40.. i'd be very interested. or a cage to fit.
- By tohme Date 20.09.07 10:20 UTC
Dave usually sends his tailgate guards and cages by post............

well just a word of warning....we spent £300 approx on one made to fit (huh!) from "guardsman". it doesnt fit!!! There s a huge gap each side that a terrier can get through. Furthermore it rattles so much the pups are terrified and we have had to take it out. thirdly, it doesnt bolt in it just has some rubbish fitting that relies on it being wedged. I am so angry. It was a complete waste of money and they are not being atall helpful with my complaint.:mad::mad:

That's a shame sam. I was looking the same time as you - fitted my MMG last week and it went in like a dream. They strapped the brackets in the proper place for mounting. The supports for the door are wrapped so they don't make much noise. The latches rattle a little but I'm going to glue a bit of carpet (leftover from carpeting the back of the car) on them to make it completely silent. I'm very happy with it. I hope you get yours sorted.
