I could hardly believe what I read in my local paper last week. This is just about as sad as it gets. A group of lads went to Pets at Home and bought a 12 week old white dwarf rabbit. They proceeded to our local park, where they released this little baby, then set their Staff onto it. Obviously, the dog did as dogs do. People who tried to intervene were warned off as they threatened to set the dog on them. The same group were seen recently fighting two staffs. Some people should never, EVER be allowed near a dog or any other animal as long as they live!! I cried my heart out when I read this. What kind of cruel b*****ds would ever do something like that?
The police are currently viewing the CCTV footage from PAH (who are horrified that one of their rabbits was used) Lets hope they are caught. It begs the question though... what will happen to these little thugs? Nothing at all probably. Meanwhile, Tansy and I won't be playing in the park anymore.
Sorry to upset anyone, but I know you are all animal lovers, and will join me in condemning these vile creatures.

That's a horrible thing to do. :-(

But if it's any consolation, the rabbit was most probably killed very quickly by the dog.

This sort of behaviour seems on the increase, when is somebody going to say enough is enough. Poor rabbit, and I also pity the dog with owners like these.

We had an e-mail come down about that case in work, didn't state what the cruelty to the rabbit was but that is horrendous!!  Those kids/thugs should have wolves/simliar creature whom could inflict damage  set upon them and see how they like it!  Grr people make me so mad!  I've been called all sorts of names/obscenities in store for refusing sales but it just goes to show, and it's probably the type who kick off about not being sold the animal that do this kind of thing!  GRRR!

I'd like to see that happen as well.

I wonder how much "vetting" the PAH sales assistent done though?  I've intervened in afew sales of co workers in the past and stoped sales or made customers buy bigger cages etc.  The amount of times I've refused a sale myself and then had to go get the store manager because I feared what the customers could do.

That did cross my mind as I know I've, like you, had to intervene and correct people/really make them realise commitments, but stuff etc etc but then again, being that the people whom did this were/and still are evil sods, there's a good chance that they're good actors (though generally myself if there is the slightest doubt I make people go away and think about it for people are great for impulse buying then weeks later bringing them back)

God people make me agnry
