I have a second interview with a bank next week and need ideas on what to wear, I have been working in restaurants for the last 13 yrs so interview wear is normally casual.

Always best to wear a smart suit or a smart skirt with a shirt or smart top but nothing too revealing ;) :D

A sensible pair of shoes or boots as well so you don't trip over walking into the room ;)

Best of luck although if it is a second interview you are already nearly there ;)

Ditto what Lucy says.  Either a skirt and jacket suit or just a skirt with nice top.  One tip is to try something on and then sit down and see if you still feel comfortable.  I once wore a really nice top with a skirt but when I got to the interview,  I didn't feel at all comfortable because as soon as I was sitting down the top sagged so I had to keep hoofing it back up .

Vote for smart clothes here too, I tend to go with comfortable, smart and what suits me.  To that end I'm avoiding black clothes (I'm pale so they make me look like death ), my standard interview gear is smart brown trousers, sensible boots and a brown blouse.  Sounds odd but it works :D  Skirts are not me at all, and I think that if you wear something you're not comfortable in it's going to show - I'd be so self-conscious that I'd interview terribly.

Do you know what the peoples work wear actually is? Do they wear trousers or skirts.

I personally would wear a smart trouser suit.  Don't know the last time I ever wore a skirt.  Certainly smart.

Thanks everyone I have a suit but have never worn it so have to dig it out and get it dry cleaned.

having interviewed a few assistants over the years....my personnal tip (agree with others on clothing!) would also be to ensure any tattoos are covered and if you have any thing other than your ears singularly pierced and on show.....take it out!

Forgot to say Good luck. Be confident and freindly banks are sales mad now :-)

Tattoos are on my back so cant be seen unless I want them to, will take out tongue bar all other piercings cant be seen while I'm dressed so that shouldnt be a problem lol.
Really nervous now just want to get it over with but have a week to go.

Can't add much to what has already been said :)  I always go for a trouser suit or just trousers and smart shirt as skirts are pretty much an alien concept to me ;)

just make sure your shoes and clothes are comfie as there is nothing worse than sitting there thinking 'my feet are killing me' or this waistband is too tight, instead of concentrating totally on the interview.  Good Luck, don't forget to let us know how you do x

just re read OP...if its a 2nd interview..... why not wear what you wore to the 1st one....it obviously worked because you got another interview!!
