Has anyone ever sent semen to the USA, and if so, can you tell me what are their rules and regs re: the donor and its collection....or can anyone point me to a site that mey help please? thanks.

You need a test for Brucella Canis, as well as the usual tests applicable to your breed.

It was very straightforward sending it, but the stud agreement was a bit complex - if you'd like a copy, PM me.

That was what we were asked for - in the light  of Sam's note, I think that was what the breed society asked for - not the AKC.   I understood the B. Canis was the one that was needed - probably by the American equivalent of DEFRA.

hi jo thanks...eventually managed to get hold of usa KC and their overseas AI dept! No problems, no health tests or vaccinations even.....makes life easier for my plans though!

jo could i be cheeky ans also ask to see the agreement so I know whats what. we also have to send off for a USA KC dna kit.....apparently they insisit on having dna evidence as well!
